E-Z Scale Blueprint Layout Grid is the brain child of Kevin DeLuccia and Jo-Ann Menadier, an electrical contracting team from New Jersey. Born out of frustration they set out to find an easier way to scale blueprints when installing lighting in custom homes.
After an exhausting search of the web with no results the duo set their sights on developing a scale ruler more in tune with the 21st century. Over the next few months different varations were field tested until they perfected a tool that was much easier to use than a standard scale ruler and inexpensive to manufacturer.
The results are a set of transparent color coded grid sheets that are laid over the blueprint or scaled drawing. Its transparent design makes it easy to obtain accurate measurements than a standard scale ruler. And its color coded design greatly reduces the chance of using the wrong scale size.
Although initially designed for lighting and electrical device layout during construction, other trades soon found uses for this time saving device. Making it an indispensable tool for anyone working with blueprints or scaled drawings.
On September 12, 2007 Electrical Contracting Products magazine, a product information authority, named E-Z Scale's new set of Blueprint Layout Grids a Finalists in its 2007 INNOVATION Awards. The prestigious program recognizes companies whose outstanding products or services have best responded to electrical contractors market challenges
by offering creative and innovative ideas.
